The people of Pune, India have learned how to survive arid, dry weather. They do something called "cloud seeding" which helps create rain. Since there is so little rain in Pune, they need to try to make it rain unnaturally to survive. Monsoons are very important to the people of India and surrounding southern Asian countries, but they have gone to drastic measures to keep safe from them. The people of Dhaka raise their homes up on stilts to avoid flooding. If they don't, they may have to swim to get from one side of their house to the other.
